The date for the workshop has finally been set.... 

We are hosting an Aiki workshop in Phoenix Total Well Being on Saturday 19th April from 2.30pm to 6.30pm, in preperation for our students up and coming grading!!!

The workshop will include both open hand and weapon work, and will refresh the syllabus for the hoshinsha and shoshinsha grades. (First two grades). This is the ideal opportunity to revise and brush up on all those techniques that you know.... and learn a few more.

The Aiki Jitsu class has been running for just over two years and while some have stayed from the beginning many newcomers come to try the art. The ages of the students range roughly from teenagers of about 16 to adults in their thirties (cough, cough Nikki). Some have trained in other martial arts such as Shotokan and Ninjutsu. Most however have no martial experience prior to joining the club.

No two Aiki Jitsu classes are the same.  One week we could train solely on weapon work, using weapons such as the Bo (6' staff), Jo (5' Staff), Bokken (practice sword) and Tanto (practice knife). The next week we could practice rolls, breakfalls, open hand techniques or a fitness class. We also have many workshops throughout the year, especially to prepare for gradings.

An official phoenix hoodie is now for sale. These are 90% cotton and 10% polyester which makes them extra soft and warm.... Ideal for our lovely irish weather...
